Chapter 1-B: Monaco All Over Again
The streets of Maystar Meadows are empty, and the lights are off. Seldom people are in sight, and the sound of police sirens are gaining volume. The only thing illuminating the streets of the quiet city of Maystar Meadows are the street lights and the speeding police cruiser owned by the Tsukino sisters.
Enter Heather Tsukino one of the few women in this police force. She’s all bundled up in winter clothing and her blue eyes shine as bright as the sun reflecting its rays on the ocean. Her long brown hair let down makes her the eye candy of the force, but still a strong deadly force regardless. She defines herself as just a woman and nothing else.
Her sister, the more seductive Makoto, is seen applying a freshly-made lipstick. She has the physique of almost every unethical man’s dream - pimple-free face, with her smooth skin all around, emerald-green eyes - as both Makoto and Heather are the same height. While she is very beautiful on the outside, she feels her external image on the outside is what will get her to the places she needs to be.
Makoto’s feet are on the dashboard, while Heather takes the wheel, driving ninety-miles an hour in a thirty-mile zone. Some of the cars parked on the street are on the verge of dealing with some serious road rage damage.
Heather (angry as ever): WHY CAN’T PEOPLE PARK CORRECTLY?!
Makoto (taking a pause on applying lipstick): Are you all right there? It looks like you might have some road rage--
Heather: I’M PERFECTLY FINE AND CAPABLE OF DRIVING!!!
Heather pushes the gas pedal a little harder. She makes a sharp turn and Makoto unintentionally marks up her right cheek.
Makoto: Seriously... I told you not to make sharp turns like that!!
Heather: WEAR YOUR GODDAMN SEAT BELT!!!!

Police cars are surrounding the Maystar National Bank, a tall building with columns out on the front. Near-impenetrable glass makes for the windows as the entire stone building with the occasional gargoyles await at the front entrance of the door. The red and blue lights atop of the cruisers reflect on the windows, making it difficult for anyone who is inside the building to see what’s going on outside. The SWAT team pulls up from exit stage left.
We hear the Tsukinos’ police car crazily burning rubber as we see them drifting and barely stopping at the line with all the other cruisers. Both of them get out of the car - angry as ever - with Makoto’s lipstick smeared on her right cheek. The SWAT team has a few of their officers lined up some several hundred feet before the entrance to the bank. The sisters barge through the barricade of the SWAT Officers, a battering ram in Makoto’s hands.
SWAT Officer: Uh, there’s a ---
She looks at him with such rage as her lipstick smear would be mistaken for a failed imitiation of the Joker.
Makoto: Say nothing!!!

There are hostages bound to each other’s backs and the security guard is bleeding out, handcuffed to the railing on the stairs. Five bank robbers are in the main room with the tellers slowly handing them all the money in the vault. Two of the robbers are watching the door, while one of them is watching the hostages, and the last one is grabbing the cash. The robber spectating outside sees Heather and Makoto ready to barge in. He whistles and lets the robber grabbing the money know that they’re ready to enter.
Heather and Makoto are approaching the doors of the bank. Shortly, they start running, and with Makoto being at the front, she breaks through the doors, incapacitating the robbers at the door. Everything seems to be in slow motion, as the officers run through the gunfire, Heather shooting at them back. She manages to hit the robber watching the hostages twice in each shoulder, preventing him from being able to fire back. The robber trying to grab the money quickly searches for the gun, but Heather is pointing hers at the robber’s head already.
Heather: DROP IT!!!!
Some of the SWAT team rushes in and escorts the hostages out of the bank as the others make the arrests on the robbers.

It’s not that M wasn’t hospitable, he just couldn’t quite remember how to be, exactly. College did that to people. It drowned its inhabitants in waves of cheap pens, pointless handouts, printer ink, stacks of essays, junk food, and practically anything else they can think of that would even remotely render one desensitized to matters of the outside world. Or rather, until they no longer recalled what the prospect of socialization was like. For example, it was only a few days ago that he remembered phones could be used for more than texting. He had received the strangest call from a friend of a friend of a friend, or…we

Okay so the place wasn't exactly the cleanest it had ever been.
It might've had the faint residual smell of diapers. And there were still some of Mags' things scattered here and there.
But hey! Their toilet was the most sparkling shining perfection this side of the city. M even debated setting up some scented candles.
Surely Ms. Reyna, Billy's mom, would understand though. About the state of the apartment, not the lack of scented candles. Although those still seemed like a pretty good idea. "We have time, don't we?"
“For what?” Billy was in the midst of wiping off Mags’ face after her breakfast as M shuffled through the cle

I enjoyed the short dialogue between two sisters. It reveal their both personalities quite clearly.
I'm a bit confused about how the chapter 1 is related to 1B but I guess it will be explained in the future, right?
I like how your chapters are long enough to show the action but not too long - a reader can read them, for example, while waiting in a bus. That's very comfortable!
